Robbers Use Drive-Thru Lane to Stick up Flagship McDonald's

One would think of all the McDonald's locations on the planet, two would have heightened security - the original store in Des Plaines and the flagship store at the Golden Arches' Oak Brook campus.

Maybe McDonald's would want to reconsider that after the Oak Brook store, which also serves as a test kitchen for the company, was robbed by two gun-toting men passing through the drive-through window. The men, who drove to the window in a gray Toyota 4-Runner, were last seen on Route 83. Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbers to call (630) 368-5060.
