Michigan farms, cheese mongers and orchards are a regular presence at local farmers markets and for good reason. The Publican and New Holland Brewing Company have teamed up for their second annual "Taste of Michigan" tomorrow night from 5-8 p.m. This four-course, fixed price dinner will highlight some of the best late season produce Michigan has to offer, inspected last week by the Publican on a field trip to the state. New Holland will provide the beer pairings. (837 W. Fulton Market, $55, $15 with beer pairings. Reservations strongly recommended.)
Music
Rapper Psalm One is gearing up the promotion for her upcoming Get in the Van! Vol. 3 with an appearance tonight on You, Me, Them, Everybody 9 p.m. at the hungry Brain. Psalm One isn't the featured musical guest - that would go to Anna Soltys - but she's an amazing interview and should play off well with hosts Brandon Wetherbee and Esmerelda Leon. (2319 W. Belmont, 21+, no cover.)
Restaurant Openings
25 Degrees, which bills itself as a "bordello meets burger bar," opened today in River North. The lunch and dinner menu features chopped sirloin beef, veggie, tuna, and turkey burgers ranging from $8 - $12. Guests can choose from 16 domestic artisanal cheeses, with a focus on local cheesemakers; more than a dozen house-made sauces; and gourmet toppings. (736 N. Clark St.)
