Ornery Little Darlings headline the Empty Bottle tomorrow
Headlining the show is Ornery Little Darlings, who’ve recently dropped their first full-length album O is for Ornery. With this debut, the trio takes from a wide variety of influences, like art punk, piano lounge, folk and plain old rock 'n' roll, while maintaining the dark, dramatic air for which they've become known. You can stream the album for free or just download the whole thing for 50 cents through their Bandcamp page.
Supporting the Darlings will be their musical cohort Netherfriends. The psych-pop act’s nomadic frontman Shawn Rosenblatt has been hard at work the past couple months crafting material from his 50 States 50 Songs project, touring the East Coast by bike and generally enjoying the life of a vagabond. Right now he’s in Missourri for a show, but will return tomorrow to play the Empty Bottle. Not surprisingly, Rosenblatt will hit the road directly after for a couple more months of touring, which means tomorrow’s show will likely be your last chance to see Netherfriends until December.
Opening the show is Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt, who Netherfriends is bringing along from a show in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In standard Bottle fashion, this show is free with RSVP. Just email rsvp@emptybottle.com by midnight tonight with “Ornery Little Darlings” in the subject line and your full name in the email body.
