A Lake Station, IN postal worker faces up to five years in prison for worker's compensation fraud.
29-year-old Chopper Loughran claimed a foot injury in July 2008. Soon after Loughran began filing travel reimbursements for trips she said were medically necessary that she never took and childcare reimbursement claims related to those phantom medical appointments.
But it's the second count that garners the headlines. Loughran was earning income selling sex toys on ebay, which stood counter to her claims she was neither self-employed nor involved in a business enterprise while collecting worker's comp benefits.
Loughran agrees in her plea bargain to pay between $30,000 and $70,000 in restitution. That's a lot of dildos she'll have to sell.
