Way back in May, local folk-rock troubadour Tom Schraeder shared a peek at his upcoming film project, 92 Tales. Its trailer left us curious, featuring mysterious snippets of Schraeder, a fire dancer and a temptress. And now the short film is available in whole for your viewing pleasure.

A collaboration with Chicago production company Bailout Pictures, Schraeder calls it a “record in short-film format only -- a celluloid recreation of writer's block -- featuring many Chicago artists responding to to my music.”

So basically, it consists of various visual artists and performers expressing themselves creatively to Schraeder’s music. The film’s soundtrack is his For All That I’ve Done Wrong (92 Tales), which is actually nine songs combined into one 16-minute track intended to portray writers block. The film also features a long list of local contributors, including fire poi performer Sylar Brodie, comedian/stunt performer Mark “The Knife” Faje, professional dominatrix Maya Sinstress and the Chicago Outfit Roller Derby.

Schraeder is currently on tour in support of his newest release, Egoïste, which was recorded entirely in analog and doctored to seem like an electronic album. He makes his way back to Chicago early this month for a September 9 show at Subterranean. Until then, feast your eyes on 92 Tales:
