The Portage Theater has become the unofficial movie theater of Chicagoist. Today the portage is having a free screening of The Goonies 8 p.m. tonight. Tickets are available at participating Six Corners Shopping District locations: call the Portage at 773-736-4050 to get that list, as they're link on the site is broken.

Photography

British celebrity photographer Cambridge Jones is bringing his "Talking Pictures" exhibit to Chicago. The Chicago Pop-Up Art Loop will be featuring "Talking Pictures" in a gallery space at 23 E. Madison from 5-8 p.m. tonight. The exhibit will run through Oct. 6.

Interview Show

The owners of Hideout talk about running one of Chicago's best music venues with "The Interview Show" host Mark Bazer tonight. Since "The Interview Show" happens at Hideout, they don't have far to walk. (1354 W. Wabansia, 6:30 p.m.)

Marcos Oliveira and Swing Brasileiro, The Old Town School of Folk Music brings you another night of Brazilian music and dance in to help celebrate Brazilian Independence tomorrow night.
