As Pearl Jam continues to celebrate 20 years of existence, first through a Cameron Crowe directed documentary, playing later in Septemberat the Gene Siskel Film Center, then with a special series of 20th anniversary concerts, the group's two-day stint at Alpine Valley represented a rare opportunity for fans. Namely, a reunion of supergroup Temple of the Dog, a combo featuring talented players from both Pearl Jam and another Seattle rock deity, Soundgarden, formed by friends wanting to make music as a tribute, under tragic circumstances. The Temple congregated during the middle of Pearl Jam's two-and-a-half-hour set at the East Troy, Wisconsin theater, and ... well, let's just say goin' hungreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee has never been so cathartic and moving. Watch "Hunger Strike," Mother Love Bone track "Stardog Champion," and "Reach Down," below. Rock history, folks.
