Koi's new chef Guosheng Yu’s new Chef’s Table series this month features delicacies like Yakiniku Short Ribs, Crispy and Crunchy Fire Maki, and Agedashi Tofu in Dry Seaweed Soy Reduction among other creations, all complete with wine or sake pairings. Guests at the Chef’s Table are seated at the intimate sushi bar with a full view of the chef's work area and will experience the creative process first-hand as they are treated to 8-courses. They will watch as their menu samplings are handcrafted, paired with sake and explained by Chef Yu. For added viewing, Chef’s Yu’s deft knife skills and artistic talents will be shown via live camera feed on an HD screen above the sushi bar. (624 Main St., Evanston, 7 p.m., $45. Tickets available here or by calling 847-866-6969.)

Beer

Bell's Beer is selling an extremely limited beer at Binny's on Marcey Street (1720 N. Marcey St.) this evening at 6:30 p.m. How special? We don't know what the beer they'll be selling, except it's extremely limited, has never been available in Illinois before, and will only be sold at this Binny's.
