Pork, booze, and record bins. These are a few of our favorite things. The folks from Schubas are bringing all three together at their first annual Pig, Swig and Record Dig.

The whole thing goes down Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Inside the tavern, you can rummage through a huge selection of new and vintage LPs and CDs brought over from some of Chicago’s favorite record stores and labels, including Permanent Records, Saki, and Bloodshot Records.

Schubas and sister-venue Lincoln Hall will display their vast accumulation of print screens from artists like Spike Press, Delicious Design League, Jay Ryan, and Justin Santora.

After perusing the inventory, you can head outside and enjoy some delicious roasted pig. Drinks of the rum variety will be supplied by Sailor Jerry. While admission to the event is free, food, booze, and records aren’t - though Schubas promises they’re reasonably priced.

Pig, Swig and Record Dig is Saturday, Oct. 1 at Schubas, 3159 N Southport, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., FREE, All Ages
