Farmer's Almanac Thinks Chicago Can't Handle Harsh Winters

By Chuck Sudo in News on Sep 9, 2011 3:40PM

For some reason the Farmer's Almanac decided to make a list of the ten cities in the country most likely to be shut down by a harsh winter.

Guess where Chicago landed on the list?

Number two. With a bullet. Naturally, farmer's Almanac cited the Blizzards of 1967, 1979 and our most recent Blizzaster in February as reasons for the ranking and Almanac editor Peter Geiger's call that we're "a little wimpy."

Take the ranking with a grain of salt. After all, Farmer's Almanac also predicted a "kinder, gentler" winter last year.
