Morning Box Score: Sox Curl Up Against Tigers, Cubs Rip Reds

The Tigers seem to be peaking at the right time. They roughed up John Danks again. Danks' line for the night: five innings, 11 hits, eight runs (seven earned) as the Sox once again slipped to .500 at 73-73. The Tigers, conversely, now have their first 10-game win streak since 1968. Brent Morel hit two home runs for the Sox.

Cubs 12, Cincinnati 8

The Cubs ran their win streak to three games at the Great American Ball Park. Starlin Castro rapped out three hits, including his ninth home run of the year. Barring a major slump at the plate, Castro is primed to reach 200 hits this season. Aramis Ramirez also homered and drove in two runs and Alfonso Soriano had three RBI for the Cubs
