My Damn Butterfly plays the Strobe Sessions tonight at Strobe Recordings.

The Strobe Sessions are a performance series put on by Strobe Recording in Chicago. Once a month they invite performers to put on a show in front of an intimate studio audience. Each performance is filmed, photographed, and recorded and is available to the artist and uploaded to multiple video platforms. Tonight's installment features singer/songwriter Matthew Shelton and local acapella experimentalists My Damn Butterfly. (2631 W. Division St; 7:30 p.m.; $10 suggested donation; RSVP here.)

Double Door's "Birthday Bash" series tonight has members Local H, AM Taxi and The Last Vegas performing the hits of Otis Redding, The Ramones and T-Rex/Marc Bolan alongside some special guests. (1572 N. Milwaukee Ave.; 9 p.m.; free)

Neighborhood Tours

The 18th Street Developmental Corporation's annual ¡Buen Provecho! Pilsen kicks off tonight at 5:30 p.m. Local restaurants, cafes and bakeries will be participating in the restaurant tour providing visitors with a sample of their delectable dishes along 18th Street. (Buy tickets here.)
