With no playoff position to worry about the White Sox have been playing as though they're waiting for the final out of the season. Too bad for Sox fans there are still nine games in the season and many of them would at least like to see the Sox finish with a record above .500.
If that's going to happen, the Sox need to finish 8-1 in those nine games. In the first game of a day-night doubleheader at Progressive Field Cleveland teed off on Gavin Floyd. Floyd surrendered a two-run home run to Travis Hafner and solo shots to Kosuke Fukudome and Asdrubal Cabrera while the Sox lineup kept flailing away at pitches to earn this loss. Adam Dunn rapped two doubles for the Sox. It marked the first time this season Dunn has had back-to-back multi-hit games. Yup.
