Ozzie Mouths Off to Esquire

By Chuck Sudo in News on Sep 22, 2011 6:40PM

Regardless of what happens to Ozzie Guillen after the White Sox wrap up their regular season next week, his candor and lack of filter regarding what he says, for better or worse, will be missed when he eventually does move on from 35th and Shields.

Guillen is the latest subject of Esquire magazine's "What I Learned" feature and, true to form, answers every question as only Ozzie can.

Here are some choice quotes:

"You have success, you can talk all the shit you want."

"What attracted me to my wife is she's hot. She's also nice, she's a great mom — but that comes after she's hot."

"I tell my kids all the time: When you're about to do something stupid, think about your mom. Why? Because she's the one that's gonna suffer inside."

"You can't buy a kid a life. They've got to earn it themselves."

"I tell my kids to be careful who they have sex with. Pick the right woman, because that kid is going to be a Guillen for the rest of his life."

It must be hard for the Guillen boys to stick to the third and fourth bits of wisdom imparted by their father.
