Chicagoans gathered to watch the unveiling of the new Michael Jordan Steakhouse downtown.

The new location is at the former Zest location inside the Intercontinental Hotel, featuring a menu by executive chef James O’Donnell. The restaurant honors steakhouse traditions, with plenty of aged steak varieties to pair with seafood selections, decadent desserts and sweet cocktails. Notable appetizers include a jumbo shrimp sitting atop a cocktail sauce made of horseradish, Belvedere vodka and celery leaves and the Michael Jordan Steakhouse signature garlic bread with Wisconsin Ader Kase Reserve blue cheese fondue.

Stepping inside the large two-tiered restaurant is akin to taking a step back into the Jordan's athletic and cultural height in the 90s. Red and white are predominant features in the art and décor, and the number 23 is hidden throughout the room with large plush booths lining the walls of the restaurant. The red lounge welcomes a relaxing atmosphere with multiple television screens showcasing any sports game at any time, highlighting an interesting cocktail list with a large variety of craft beers on tap and plenty of wines to pair with any selection of steak or seafood entrée.

The Michael Jordan Steakhouse is located at 505 N. Michigan Ave.
