The future is now.

Kindle ebooks are now available from CPL via their website. All that's required to check out a book is a library card number and a ZIP code. Even better, as library spokeswoman Ruth Lednicer noted, there are no late fees with a library ebook. Once it's due back, it simply is removed from your Kindle automatically.

CPL currently has 3,536 different titles available and that number is going to grow as the Kindle option becomes more popular.
