Mother Charged with Trying to Kill Baby in Toilet

When we read this news item we immediately thought of this Family Guy sketch, except that it's all too real and serious.

A woman in Bloomington has been charged with attempted murder after she allegedly tried to kill her baby by dumping it in a toilet. McLean County Prosecutors contend Tonya McKee told other people at Home Sweet Home Ministries, where she'd been staying for several weeks, that she aborted the baby in a toilet. Police found the baby in a commode and rushed it to a hospital, where it was treated and survived.

McKee has not yet entered a plea to the charge and her public defender said she's catching up on the details of the case.
