The good news with today's forecast is the projected high is expected to crack 70 degrees. (72, to be exact.) The bad news is we have a heavy wind advisory this afternoon and evening. We know it's serious when Skilling Central uses all caps to announce it. The winds are expected to sustain speeds of 20-34 MPH with some gusts as high as 45 MPH. Let's hope it at least feels like 72 outside.

On this date in Chicago history: the Tylenol murders occurred in 1982. Seven people died after ingesting cyanide from tampered bottles of Tylenol. The murders led to the development of tamper-proof bottles; the murderer has never been found.

Also on this date in 2003 the rebuilt Soldier Field opened. The city did such a great job fitting the stadium between its historic colonnades Soldier Field was stripped of its landmark status.
