For many of us our first encounter with Morgan Freeman was on the 1970s PBS children's show The Electric Company. When he had his breakthrough role as Joe Clark, the baseball bat wielding high school principal in Lean on Me, we pointed at the screen and shouted, "That's Easy Reader!"
