Here's a story whose moral is "chickens coming home to roost." Two men who thought it would be good fun to pester people waiting for a Red Line train at the Jackson stop downtown early this morning got more than they bargained for when they turned their attention to a homeless man.

The homeless man warned the pair to stop harassing him. When they refused, he pulled a knife, stabbed the two men and fled the scene. One man was treated for a cut on his finger at the scene. The other was stabbed in the arm and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The homeless man hasn't been found. And here's hoping two men learned a painful lesson.
