Tonight, Saturday and Sunday Riot Fest will be in full swing at five venues across the city, with a great line-up that's bigger and broader-stroked than previous years.

Tonight, the Congress kicks off earliest with the Danzig Legacy show, which will feature songs from Danzig, the Misfits and Samhain. In addition to this once in a lifetime chance to hear some of the first songs that got us into punk, we're looking forward to catching another act so very influential to hardcore - Youth of Today. All plays again tonight at the Bottom Lounge with Down By Law and Helmet headlines the Double Door. Both of those shows start in the 9 p.m. range and later, two super secret shows take place at the Cobra Lounge and AAA.

Tomorrow begins a twelve hour assault of sound, starting at 2:30 p.m. at the Congress. Plenty of great locals like Shot Baker and Flatfoot 56 are sure to get things going, but the biggest excitement of the night will be found in Strike Anywhere and The Descendents, who haven't been through town in entirely too long. If you're still looking to keep your rock rolling, The Business headlines the Cobra Lounge at 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning, but if you're looking to relax a little, head over to the Double Door and catch a free show from the Smoking Popes. We've also heard the secret shows will be well worth attending that night as well, so be sure to stock up on sleep into late Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday, if you're looking to relax a little and relive some 90s alternative rock, the Congress has got you covered with Urge Overkill and Weezer. Also appearing will be White Mystery and Teenage Bottlerocket. Meanwhile, Seven Seconds headlines the Bottom Lounge with Dan Vapid and The Cheats opening up, followed by one final super secret show at AAA.

We'll have plenty of galleries, commentary - and hopefully a few interviews too - starting Monday morning.

Tickets to many of the shows are, for now, still available!
