We've been to our fair share of yard sales in Chicago, and best thing we've ever dug up was a sexist, 1970s tchotchke that screamed "future White Elephant gift!" (and "desperation"). Odds of finding cooler wares improve when a yard sale is hosted by our friends at Numero Group.

"After five years stuffed into a cramped basement, we've accumulated more shit than we thought was possible to cram into 900 square feet," said Numero's Ken Shipley. "Multiply that by the ten losers who work in the office every week and it's a recipe for post-thrift junker chaos."

The Chicago-based reissue label recently moved out of its basement digs and to the house above, and will be selling "typical yard sale stuff" along with atypical yard sale awesomeness: Numero stock, posters and--insert your own "ZOMG" exclamation here--original items from the Pegue and Ebirac catalogs.

Numero's Dustin Drase also indicated that the goods are being sold at "blowout prices;" we're choosing to interpret that subtext as "bring your sharpest-elbowed friends and be prepared to spill a little blood."

Of course, a good yard sale is nothing without good tunes, so Numero will be spinning "weird shit" (their words) for the duration of the sale.

The Numero Group Yard Sale is Saturday, Oct. 15, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., 2348 S. Marshall
