CANT is the solo project of Chris Taylor, multi-instrumentalist and backing vocalist of Brooklyn’s Grizzly Bear. A month after the release of his debut full-length, Dreams Come True, he and his tourmates are swinging by Chicago for a show tonight.

Taylor collaborated with George Lewis Jr. of Twin Shadow for Dreams Come True, which was released on Taylor’s own label Terrible Records. Unlike the psychedelic folk that Grizzly Bear puts out, CANT steers more toward drowsy, atmospheric, R&B-influenced electro. And whereas Taylor’s voice usually serves backup, his soothing vocals are at the forefront of CANT.

Check it out for yourself: Pitchfork reported that you can listen to the album in full through Transdreamer Records’ Soundcloud. You can also purchase it over at Terrible Records.

CANT is on tour right now and stopping by tonight for a show at Schubas. Also playing are Luke Temple and Blood Orange. In the meantime, check out this video for the album’s title track:

CANT plays tonight, Tuesday, October 18 at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N Lincoln, 8 p.m., $15, 18+
