House Ethics Probe on Jackson, Jr. Resumes

Now that Rod Blagojevich has been convicted of corruption (and his family has taken to Facebook to ask supporters to write letters to Judge James Zagel in the hopes it will reduce Blagojevich's sentence), the House Ethics Committee has resumed its investigation of Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr.
The Justice Department cleared "Senate Candidate No. 5" of any criminal wrongdoing related to the Blagojevich case, but speculation has centered the House may investigate whether Jackson violated House rules for allegedly using campaign funds to fly a mistress from the Beltway to Chicago. The House investigation into Jackson began in 2009, when it was still under Democratic control, but the Justice Department asked it be placed on hold because Jackson was on their witness list in the Blagojevich trial.
Jackson's testimony in the Blagojevich retrial didn't do Blagojevich any favors.
