In their own act of civil disobedience, someone at CBOT made personal use of an office copier and ignored littering laws to fling flyers out the window which read “We Are the 1% Paying For This.”
Much like the first message that appeared in the Board of Trade windows a few weeks ago, members of Occupy Chicago had a good laugh and continued on. Demonstrator Micah Philbrook allowed that it was pretty insulting, adding “What are they paying for? The only thing they paid for was those pieces of paper.”
Occupy Chicago plans more actions this weekend. At present, the location has not been chosen, but members do plan on attempting to find another place to set up camp. A march begins in front of the Federal Reserve at 6:30 p.m on Saturday.
