Morning Box Score: Blackhawks Stop Avalanche

Corey Crawford only faced 16 shots in Tuesday night's win over Phoenix. Last night in Denver he did everything but stand on his head. Crawford stopped 13 shots in the first period last night en route to a 31-save night. Crawford's performance allowed the Hawks some breathing room. Jonathan Toews scored in the first period off a beautiful feed from Daniel Carcillo. (Carcillo has skills. Huh.) Colorado's Ryan O'Byrne tied the game with a wrist shot in the second period, but Patrick Sharp put the Hawks ahead to stay with another a goal, assisted by Duncan Keith and Andrew Brunette.
The win snapped a five-game Colorado winning streak and continued Chicago's strong start to the season at 4-1-1
