Bottle & Bottega, the Bright Pink Organization and Helios Center for Movement are joining forces for Breast Cancer Awareness Friday for an evening of creativity and cocktails. Enjoy complimentary wine and appetizers along with painting instruction from Bottle & Bottega artists to create an inspirational masterpiece on a 16x20 take-home canvas. Purchase tickets here. Custom House Tavern celebrates its sixth anniversary with a reception from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. The open house will feature hors d'oeuvres by Executive Chef Perry Hendrix and newly appointed Chef de Cuisine Zach Millican and Pastry Chef Erin Mooney, as well as a selection of wine, beer and Custom cocktails. Music

The University of Chicago's Symphony Orchestra annual Halloween concert Saturday at Mandel Hall will feature a "1,000 Arabian Nights" program of storytelling, special effects, and genie-conjuring music in conjunction with the Hyde Park School of Dance. The program will feature Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade Griffes’ The Pleasure Dome of Kubla Khan and selections from Nielsen’s Aladdin Suite, while Hyde Park School of dancers transform Mandel Hall into a souk.
