R. Kelly's Fight Club Rule Number 1: Don't Let Fat Joe Know

By Chuck Sudo in Arts & Entertainment on Oct 27, 2011 1:00PM

If rapper Fat Joe is to be believed, New Jack Swing king and noted water sports enthusiast R. Kelly can kick some ass. The fine folks at Ego Trip Land unearthed video from Joe's Tales from the Darkside where he recounts visiting Kells in Chicago once, only to find the man who once sang "I'm a Flirt" flirting with bodily harm to prove his "bona fide thug" credentials. At one point in the video, Joe describes The Pied Piper as "swinging to kill" in the ring.

Kelly is a boxing fan, having sung the National Anthem at boxing events for his friend and boxing champ Bernard Hopkins. It would only seem logical for him to lace up some gloves and learn footwork that doesn't involve stepping in the name of love.

Let's allow Joe to take it from here, in his own minimalist way.
