State Police to Open Firing Ranges to the Public

By Chuck Sudo in News on Nov 1, 2011 1:30PM

Do you like guns and have a valid Firearms Owner Identification Card? If so, you can have a chance to shoot your gun where the State Troopers train.

The Illinois State Police are opening their five firing ranges in Joliet, Macomb, Pittsfield, LaSalle and Pawnee (isn't that in Indiana?) from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Nov. 12. All you need to do is bring your FOID card and your gun, unloaded, in a carrying case to one of the ranges. But you will need to make reservations. The phone numbers to reach any of the ranges are available here.
