Sonoi plays Comfort Station tonight

Chicagoist favorites Roommate and Sonoi both take the stage at Comfort Station tonight as part of a triple bill that also features Bevel, the new project from former Manishevitz guitarist Via Nuon. (Sonoi guitarist Adam Busch and bassist Ryan Hembrey are also former members of Manishevitz.) (2579 N. Milwaukee Ave., free, doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 7:30 sharp.)

Book Release

The Aviary will host Chef Daniel Humm and Will Guidara to The Aviary for a cocktail party to celebrate the release of the highly anticipated Eleven Madison Park: The Cookbook Nov. 13. The evening will be split into two two-hour events from 6-9 p.m. and 9-11 p.m. Tickets ($150) are limited and on a first-come, first served basis and, if interested in attending, email The Aviary here to check for availability.

Chili Cook-Off

A reminder that The Arts of Life's annual Chili Cook-Off is from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at their Chicago studio (2010 W. Carroll). There's still time to purchase tickets to attend and to enter your chili in the cook-off. (Chicagoist is a sponsor of this event.)
