It's been two years since Northwestern has beaten a top 10 ranked team, and Saturday they broke that drought by fending off the Cornhuskers. NU quarterback Dan Persa left the game after the half with an injured shoulder and a 7-3 lead. Kain Colter took the reigns to get the Wildcats a victory. Colter rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another in the second half to propel Northwestern past one of the Big Ten division leaders, which will keep Northwestern in bowl contention this season for the fifth straight year.
