Rockin' Our Turntable: Brodinski FabricLive 60

By Jake Guidry in Arts & Entertainment on Nov 9, 2011 8:40PM

brodinski-10_13_2011.jpg Fabric, the legendary London dance club, has for the last decade purveyed its modus operandi in the form of special guest mixes. Notable alumni of the FabricLive series include James Murphy, Diplo, Simain Mobile Disco, Four Tet, Cut Copy, Pearson Sound, and John Peel, whom only begin to scratch the surface of the series' proud history. The latest, FabricLive 60, comes from Brodinski, a well-traveled and eclectic DJ whose affinity for genre-hopping shines bright on the mix.

FabricLive 60 is a full-on party-starter, littered with gems from Sigha, Switch, Riton, Low Jack, and John Roman. According to Brodinski, he “tried to include every track that has changed my life over the last two years going from slow motion techno to R & B, from backroom music to acid house." One listen to the mix proves his success, which has been given added poignancy with its dedication his close friend and mentor, the late DJ Mehdi. We can't recommend FabricLive 60 enough, so fire it up, raise a glass to DJ Mehdi, and dance in his honor.
