A 19-year-old Hanover Park woman has been charged with first degree murder and the concealment of a homicide in connection with the strangulation of an infant in a Streamwood Salvation Army resale shop bathroom.

Jessica Cruz allegedly asked for directions to the bathroom last Friday, entered and left an hour later. The baby boy was later found in a trash can and appeared to have been delivered in the bathroom, then strangled. Streamwood police said they interviewed dozens of witnesses and amassed "a large amount of physical evidence."

Cruz is expected in Rolling Meadows bond court later today.
