Blackhawks 6, Edmonton 3

The Blackhawks set out on their annual circus road trip with a strong showing at the United Center last night. Jonathan Toews and Steve Montador each scored twice and Corey Crawford stopped 20 of 23 shots as the Blackhawks now embark on a six-game road trip that will keep them on the road through the end of the month that starts with a visit to Vancouver and the hated Canucks Wednesday.

Northwestern 60, Texas-Pan American 36

The question asked by Wildcats fans: will this finally be the year where NU finally makes it to the NCAA Tournament? One game against a scrub in the Broncs won't answer that question. John Shurna scored 15 points and Luka Mirkovic added 12 as Northwestern started slow but used an 11-1 run to take control of the game late in the first half.
