Winfrey bought the co-op for $5.6 million in 2006, but remained in her condominium at Water Tower Place. She listed the co-op on the market for $6 million from June 2008 through January 2009, but that wasn't a very good time for condo or co-op sales.
Winfrey still owns several properties in the Chicago area, including homes in Elmwood Park and Merrilville, IN.
