Schaumburg Math Teacher Fired for Masturbating in Class

A Schaumburg Christian School teacher fired for allegedly masturbating during class has been charged with felony sexual exploitation of a child.

Paul A. LaDuke was terminated after a student reported the incident to another teacher.

Police interviewed several students who said 75-year-old LaDuke unzipped his pants while seated behind his podium and proceeded to masturbate. The incident was not isolated, NBC reported:

Investigators believe this behavior occurred multiple times per year over the course of 10 years or longer while LaDuke was teaching at Schaumburg Christian.

There is no evidence that LaDuke inappropriately touched or physically harmed any students during that time.

School administrators contacted Schaumburg police Monday. LaDuke is scheduled for a bond hearing Wednesday in Rolling Meadows. The 9th grade math teacher faces one to three years in prison for sexual exploitation of a child, a Class 4 felony.
