This shouldn't come as much of a surprise to readers who use the Stevenson and Eisenhower expressways to get in and out of town. A new report from the Texas Transportation Institute lists the two expressways among the worst commutes in the country.

Report author Bill Eisele told the Sun-Times that the suburban parts of the Stevenson are often worse to drive than the stretch of the expressway that lies within city limits. Depending on certain factors, a commute along that nine-mile stretch can be as fast as nine minutes and as long as 26 minutes. From personal experience, Eisele isn't wrong.

in addition to the Stevenson and the section of the Ike from Austin Avenue to Higgins Road, northbound I-55 between Harlem and County Line Road made TTi's "reliably unreliable" list.
