Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano was hit in the face by a baseball while playing with the Venezuelan Winter League. Zambrano was hit below his right bottom lip and required 16 stitches. But did it faze him? Apparently not. The Tribune writes:
Zambrano got his glove up on the liner, which glanced off his face. He still managed to pick up the ball and throw to first for the out.Whether you're a Cubs fan or not, you have to admit that's a badass way to handle the situation."He said to me, 'Oh my God, I've waited for 14 years to get a liner off my face,'" [Caribes general manager Sam] Moscatel said. "'Fourteeen years and it finally hit my house.'"
