Zambrano Busted in the Face With a Baseball, Needed 16 Stitches

Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano was hit in the face by a baseball while playing with the Venezuelan Winter League. Zambrano was hit below his right bottom lip and required 16 stitches. But did it faze him? Apparently not. The Tribune writes:

Zambrano got his glove up on the liner, which glanced off his face. He still managed to pick up the ball and throw to first for the out.

"He said to me, 'Oh my God, I've waited for 14 years to get a liner off my face,'" [Caribes general manager Sam] Moscatel said. "'Fourteeen years and it finally hit my house.'"

Whether you're a Cubs fan or not, you have to admit that's a badass way to handle the situation.
