Beer Tasting

Vanberg and DeWulff, the importers responsible for bringing Saison DuPont to the U.S., are celebrating their 30th anniversary with a tasting from 7:30-9:30 p.m. tonight at The Bluebird (1749 N Damen). Among the beers on deck for tonight's tasting: Saison DuPont; Moinette Blond; Moinette Brune; Posca Rustica; Castelain Blond Biere de Garde; St. Amand French Amber; Scaldis Classic; Scaldis Noel; Cuvee de Trolls; Witkap Pater Stimulo; Hop-Ruiter; and Lambrucha. Reservations are highly recommended (RSVP via email here) and the cost is $30.

Black Wednesday Options

JBar invites folks to get a head start on the turkey eating with their turkey club sandwich, accompanied with sweet potato chips for only $10 or for $20 when paired with a Mojito Diego featuring Cruzan Rum, lime and mint foam. JBar invites guests to make a wish all night with $5 Wishbone shots featuring Absolut Vanilla, pineapple and cherry. (610 N. Rush St.)

Bridge Bar (315 N. LaSalle) Black Wednesday specials include a Drive-thru Turkey Burger, a houseground turkey topped with homemade cranberry sauce. Wash it down with a craft beer for only $8. they'll also have $2 Wild Turkey "you-call-it" drinks all night.
