Book Reading

Calling all ladies (and curious people)! Author Jaclyn Friedman just released her book What You Really Really Want: The Smart Girl's Shame-Free Guide to Sex and Safety. She’s a writer, activist, feminist, and empowering bombshell who should have tons to say about the state of women’s sexuality. Friedman will read from the book and sign copies 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at Women and Children First bookstore. (5233 N. Clark St.)

Performance

Poetry magazine is pleased to present All Your Paths in a Single Pocket, a collaborative performance inspired by and sourced from Anna Kamienska’s “Notebooks” as translated by Clare Cavanagh in Poetry magazine’s June 2010 and March 2011 issues. All Your Paths in a Single Pocket integrates text, music, and dance, and is the first site-specific event created in the new Poetry Foundation building. Performances start tomorrow through Dec. 4, then Dec. 8-10, are free on a first-come, first-served basis, and start at 7:30 p.m. (61 W. Superior St.)
