The Moth Celebrates 200th Episode With Broadcast Of The First Chicago GrandSLAM

By Tankboy in Arts & Entertainment on Nov 29, 2011 8:20PM

2011_11_the_moth_365_wide.jpg We were understandably excited when The Moth StorySLAM--a live series where participants get onstage to tell short, true stories without the use of props or notes--finally made it's way to Chicago. Back in January the first Chicago GrandSLAM event was held, highlighting folks from earlier StorySLAMs in competition with each, and we were excited about that too!.

If you missed that first GrandSLAM, hosted by Wait Wait ... Don't Tell Me's Peter Sagal, now you have a chance to relive the fire that rained forth from the mouths of participants in the form of ten incendiary real-life tales of truth and trauma. To celebrate the 200th episode of The Moth podcast, the inaugural Chicago GrandSLAM is being broadcast as a two-parter, the first time The Moth has ever broadcast a full GrandSLAM! We're number one! We're number one!

Part one is out this week. Stay tuned for part two.
