Join Lush Wine and Spirits at their West Town store tonight for a free wine tasting of the above of new and old favorites picked by Forlorn Hope Wines. In Lush's Wine Bar, enjoy Faufreluches, Dexter Lake, and Ost Intrigen in a tasting flight coupled with three mix-and-match cheese and charcuterie Selections for $20. All wines at the tasting will be available for retail purchase as well as by the glass with appetizer pairings selected by Matthew Rorick of Forlorn Hope Wines and the Lush Girls. (1412 W. Beer Tastings

The Bluebird's Winter beer tasting Dec. 13 will include such selections as Two Brother's "Why Winter?" Barley Wine Style (2009 Vintage); Gouden Carolus Cuvee Van De Keizer (2008 Vintage); Stone Brewing Old Guardian Barley Wine (2008 Vintage); Great Divide Hibernation; New Holland Cabin Fever; Lagunitas "Sucks" Holiday Ale; Jolly Pumpkin "Noel de Calabaza" and others.
