M83
Have we ever said a bad thing about M83? Our own Jake Guidry saw M83 doing some crazy space traveling at Lincoln Hall last month, and Tankboy called the new M83 album Hurry Up, We're Dreaming "cotton candy built on sunshine and tears. And we can't get enough of it." They'll be playing at the Vic in May, so get tickets now and thoughts of the show will keep you warm all winter now. They're bringing Swedish band I Break Horses with them. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Dec. 10 at 10 a.m.
The Vic Theatre, 3145 N. Sheffield Ave., Friday, May 4, 7:30 p.m.

DeVotchKa
This Denver-based band mixes folk and pop styles to create a fun, yet haunting sound. They're the less-crazy sonic cousins of Gogol Bordello. You'll dance, you'll cry, we can't see this being a bad show. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Dec. 10 at noon.

Metro, 3730 N. Clark Street, Saturday, Jan, 28, 8:30 p.m., $21, 18+
