Stripped & Chewed Records Reaches Success, Bright Future Ahead

2011_12_sacr.jpg A couple months ago we wrote about our friends at Stripped & Chewed Records (formerly Second City Recordings) launching a Kickstarter page to get their label up and running. In order to realize their goal of pressing the label's first release to vinyl, Stripped & Chewed needed $4,000 from supporters. With the fundraising campaign about thirty hours away from closing, we can gladly report that the label has reached its goal (and then some).

Stripped & Chewed's first release, Livin' For The City, will feature a healthy range of artists home and abroad, including Adulture & Ghosts of Venice's collaborative SCR, Black Madonna (whom we booked under her Lady Foursquare alias for CMD+SHFT+DANCE), and Alec Carlsson. The compilation will showcase Chicago's patented house sound, re-interpreted through a modern approach. In short, it's the kind of dance music that transcends time and space. Be on the lookout for Stripped & Chewed's debut pressing, and stay tuned for what this young label will contribute to the dance music pantheon.
