Patrick Sharp is on a roll. The Blackhawks winger scored his sixth goal in as many games and ninth in his last eighth to give the Hawks their second consecutive overtime win. The Hawks, who are 4-0-1 in their last five games, were lucky to reach the overtime period. After Ray Emery was pulled for an extra skater in the third period, Andrew Brunette scored with 1:06 left to force OT. The stage was set for Sharp's heroics after Annti Niemi stopped a Marian Hossa and kicked it to the goal line, where a waiting Sharp planted the puck in the net and set off a characteristically restrained Pat Foley.

Illinois 80, Coppin State 63

After being unable to hit a barn in their previous win against St. Bonaventure, the Illinois made easy work of Coppin State by shooting 56 percent from the floor. Illinois' three-point shooting was on the mark against Coppin State's zone defense, as they drained a season-high 10 treys. D.J. Richardson led four Illini in double figures with 20 points.
