Do Some Good, Get a Free Beer at The Publican

The Publican's food drives keep getting better and better. This time, they are giving away free beer! The restaurant, which just made Esquire's list of the Top 10 Beer Menus in America, is hosting a food drive for the Greater Chicago Food Depository on Saturday, and everyone who loves beer should show up.

From 1:30-3:30 tomorrow, bring your non-perishable food donations to the Publican. If you do, you'll get a free beer. It's as simple as that! The Publican will also be serving up some snacks and auctioning off some fun prizes - all proceeds go to the Food Depository. Everyone who donates will get a raffle ticket, and prizes include a Publican "swag bag" and a progressive dinner for 2 guests (beginning at The Publican, continuing onto avec and concluding at Blackbird).

If you can't make it tomorrow, consider making a donation to the Food Depository for the holidays. Thousands of Chicagoans are without the wonderful holiday meals we write about every day, and each of us needs to pitch in to do our part.
