Calvin and Hobbes earned the right to join Peanuts, Doonesbury, The Boondocks, and Bloom County in the pantheon of iconic comic strips, which makes the various images of Calvin pissing a bit disconcerting. (Creator Bill Watterson long fought for control in marketing his characters, fearing that sticking Calvin and Hobbes on every tchotchke available would cheapen the characters. Seeing Calvin pissing as a symbol of White Trash Nation, his fears were realized.)

We found this video on the YouTubes called "A Very Calvin and Hobbes Christmas" that captures the spirit of the strip, and Watterson's humor, perfectly. Well done.
