Holiday Shopping

Chuck previewed Ms. Mint's Local and Fair Trade Holiday Bazaar a couple of weeks back. It's now upon us, starting today from 3-8 p.m. This is a good chance to buy some local and sustainable gifts. (1530 N. Dayton St.)

Beer Tapping

Weegee's Lounge is tapping its own "Weegee Squirrel" IPA from 5-8 p.m. today. "Fred Morningwood" has come out of retirement and produced a Rye IPA, using Weegee's own home grown hops. All proceeds go to the Chicago Police Memorial Fund, to help Operation Santa, and make Christmas a little bit better for police families. (3659 W. Armitage Ave.)

Noise for Toys

Bring a packaged and unwrapped toy to tonight's show at Beat Kitchen featuring State and Madison, Archie Powell and the Exports, The Noise FM and The Scissors and get half off admission. All the toys collected will benefit the Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign. (2100 W. Belmont, 17+, 9:30 p.m.)

If you have an event for inclusion in "Pencil This In," please contact Tankboy (for A&E-related listings), Anthony (for tastings, dinners and food and drink-related events) or tips[at]chicagoist[dot]com.
