New Year's Eve celebrations are traditionally for drinking too much champagne and spending too much money. If you're not into either of those things, consider buying tickets for New Year's Eve dinner at Jerry's. The Wicker Park joint will be serving a 6-course menu, paired with wonderful craft beers. It'll be informal, comfortable and won't break the bank.

Depending on how much you want to eat and drink, dinner costs either $50 (without the beer pairings) or $60 (with the beer pairings). Trust us, you want to spend the $60. Unlike a lot of mediocre prix fixe meals, this one has choices - and each choice is paired with a different beer. Appetizers feature Lagunitas brews (the Pils Pilsner and the Doppel Weizen) and include a brie oyster soup and a grilled lamb loin with tomato jam.

With your entree, you can choose from beers made by Bell's, Three Floyds or Founders. We really want to try their lobster club sandwich, made with butter-braised Maine lobster and Nueske's fabulous bacon, paired with Three Floyd's Dreadnaught Double IPA. The complete menu is below.
