18-Year-Old Woman Beaten Into A Coma Near Congress Theater

An 18-year-old woman was found naked, bloody and unconscious in a front lawn near the Congress Theater in Logan Square on New Year's Eve. Police had trouble identifying the woman, who is now in a coma and in critical condition. She suffered trauma to her head and body.

An employee of the theater said she was turned away from the DJ Rusko show for not having her ID. She lingered in the area, and he saw her walking nearby with six men. The Sun-Times writes:

The theater employee who asked not to be identified said after the woman was denied entry, she went across Milwaukee Avenue and sat down in front of a taco restaurant. The employee said he saw her walking with six young men who appeared to be in their teens after that.

About 20 minutes later, some of the young men approached the employee to say there was a naked girl on the sidewalk. The employee found it odd that the young men had blood on their pants, he said.

The employee told security to grab the men, but three of them got away. The police are questioning suspects.
